Mane Course Sandwiches is a fast-casual, equestrian themed restaurant offering over 30 hand-crafted sandwiches, wraps, soups, mac & cheese, salads and smoothies. We are committed to using high quality ingredients served in a fun environment with outstanding hospitality! Whether you are ordering online to take home, dining in or letting us cater your event, you will see that we are the cure for the common sandwich.
Family owned makes a difference! Our founder, Cary Jackson, has been in the restaurant and hospitality business for over 35 years and has served the Charlottesville community for over ten years. Cary’s experience includes fast-casual, casual dining, fine dining, golf resort, as well as knowing the distribution side of the business after ten years’ experience with Sysco Food Service.
The Jacksons’ passion for horses made developing and opening an equestrian themed restaurant a natural fit. Cary enjoyed horse as a child along with his wife, Stacie, who showed Hunters and owned her own horse. Returning to riding in the past 10 years and spreading the love of horses and showing with their daughter, the family currently owns two horses, Candy, a 14-year old dun Quarter Horse, and most recently, Ragnar, a 6 year old grey Westfalen Warmblood. Their daughter, Emma, rides in Hunter shows throughout the year, and you can see her working at the restaurant when she’s not at the barn.
We are passionate about serving our community and are happy to help you earn money for your organization. It’s easy! Invite your family and friends using our flyer, customized for your event, to eat at Mane Course. After the event, we will donate a portion of the sales back to your organization. Two of the charities the Jackson’s support are Ride with Pride (locally) and Old Friends Farm (Kentucky). These organizations do great work and are always on the hunt for community support in a variety of ways!
